MADISON, S.D. -- Senior guard Miranda Hennings (Council Bluffs, Iowa) was named the North Star Athletic Association Women's Basketball Player of the Week for her performances in the Bruins' two victories last week over Hastings College and (RV) Dakota State University.

Hennings averaged 14 points and shot 62.5 percent from the field in a pair of wins over the Broncos and the Trojans last week. She connected on 6-of-10 three-pointers and was a perfect 2-for-2 at the free-throw line.

Hennings scored nine points, draining three 3-pointers, in the fourth quarter of Saturday's win over Dakota State, including one with 2:00 left to tie the game at 74-all and set up the exciting final moments of BU's 78-76 buzzer-beating victory.

In the 72-54 victory at Hastings, Hennings scored 10 points on 3-of-5 shooting from the field, including a 2-of-2 effort from behind the arc.

Hennings currently leads the Bruins with 28 3-pointers on the season. She is third in scoring at 10.2 points per game.

The Bruins will host 11th-ranked Dakota Wesleyan University at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 7, in the Gordon Lozier Athletic Center.
