Bruins finish sixth at Whistling Straits

SHEBOYGAN, Wis. -- All five Bruin golfers improved upon their first round scores by at least four strokes as the Bellevue University men's golf team posted a sixth place finish at the Whistling Straits Championship.

Sam Johnson was the top BU finisher, tying for sixth overall following a 2-under second round. Over 36 holes, Johnson shot 155 and finished just four stroke backs of individual champion Brandon Bodis of Davenport University.

Dylan Rodgers came in with a second round 77 (+5) to finish in a tie for 10th place at 158.

Totte Uhland and Hugo Brandt tied for 28th overall with two-day totals of 164. Uhlan carded a 79 on the day and Brandt shot 80.

Cayden Wynne posted a second round 80 for a 165 total to finish in a tie for 31st in the 75-golfer field.

Keiser University took home the team title with a score of 628, defeating Davenport University on a tie-breaker (fifth golfer score). Aurora University (635), Taylor University (637), and Indiana Wesleyan University (638) rounded out the top five with Bellevue in sixth at 641.
