POINT LOOKOUT, Mo. -- Junior middle blocker Sydney DeBoer and senior setter Jordan Broady were named the Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference's hitter and setter of the week announced by the league office.
Broady recorded a double-double and triple-double during the week for the Bruins. In their only loss of the week, at Midland University, she recorded 31 assists, 12 kills and 10 digs. This marked her third triple-double of the season. Against Morningside College she notched a season-high 56 assists to go along with 10 digs.
DeBoer, who ranks second on the team with 79 kills this season, recorded 46 kills, six service aces and 13 block assists during the week.
Bellevue, currently ranked No. 19 in the NAIA has a 6-3 overall record and opens conference play tomorrow with a pair of matches against Central Christian College, beginning a 3 p.m. in the Gordon Lozier Athletic Center.
