Siedlik signs Tacoma CC transfer, Jorie Lincoln

Bellevue University head volleyball coach Trish Siedlik announced today the signing of 5-2 libero/defensive specialist Jorie Lincoln (Waianae, Hawaii/Tacoma CC/Kamehameha Schools Kapalama) to a letter of intent to continue her academic and athletic careers at BU beginning in the fall of 2020.

Lincoln played two seasons at Tacoma Community College (TCC) under Katylyn Mataya and will have two seasons of eligibility with the Bruins.

She finished her career at TCC with 469 digs, 63 assists, and 43 service aces, helping the Titans to a 19-13 record in 2019 with a fourth-place finish in the Northwest Athletic Conference.

"We have had success with transfers from community college programs and we are looking forward to having another one join our team next year," said Siedlik. "Jorie is a calm and smooth passer with some range and speed that will help our defensive depth. Having college experience will be essential to our growth in the backcourt."

Lincoln played club volleyball at Maunalani Volleyball Club in Waianae, Hawaii under head coach Duke Robins.

Lincoln joins earlier signees 5-11 rightside hitter Isidora Nahayo (Omaha, Neb./Westside HS), 5-7 outside hitter/defensive specialist Anna Koehler (Springfield, Neb./Platteview HS), 5-11 middle blocker/rightside hitter Jacki Apel (Bellevue, Neb./Bellevue West HS) and 5-5 libero/defensive specialist Taylan Keefer (Council Bluffs, Iowa/Abraham Lincoln HS) in the 2020 recruiting class.

The Bruins finished the 2019 season with a 28-10 overall record, making their 12th appearance in the NAIA National Tournament after finishing second in the NSAA regular-season standings. BU advanced to the NAIA National Championship final site for the ninth time in school history and finished with a No. 19 final national ranking.
