POINT LOOKOUT, Mo. -- Nine Bellevue University fall athletes have been named Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference Scholar-Athletes in an announcement made today by the conference office. In addition the BU volleyball team earned the Jerry Watson Award

To be a scholar athlete, an athlete must be at least a sophomore, have a 3.25 cumulative grade point average or higher, and have completed at least two semesters at their present institution.
To win the Jerry Watson Award, a varsity team must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or higher. This award is named in honor of Jerry Watson, former College of the Ozarks Faculty Athletic Representative who was tragically killed in a plane crash in the fall of 1999.
The Bruin volleyball team earned a 3.27 cumulative GPA.
