BELLEVUE, Neb. -- As part of the Side Out Foundation's "Dig Pink" campaign, the Bellevue University volleyball team will wear pink in its match against conference in-state rival College of St. Mary on Tuesday, Sept. 17.

"Dig Pink" is an annual fundraiser to help promote breast health and cancer awareness and to raise money to contribute to the research and compassionate support projects Side-Out funds. This event gives the volleyball community the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of all breast cancer patients.

"We have hosted a Dig Pink event for the third-straight season and this year we hope to make a bigger donation to the foundation with everyone's help," said head volleyball coach Trish Siedlik. "Our team holds a special place in our hearts for Cindy Rueth, mother of Caitlyn, who lost her battle to the disease. The team will not only wear pink uniforms, but also have temporary tattoos with the pink ribbon and the initials C.R. on it."
