LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- Three Bellevue University student-athletes have been recognized by the Association of Independent Institutions on the All-A.I.I. women's soccer team.

Goalkeeper Sabrina Staufenbiel (Monchengladbach, Germany) made 15 starts in goal for the Bruins and totaled 10 victories while posting a goals against average of just 0.49, good for 12th nationally. She totaled 52 saves for an .881 save percentage.

Forward Marilia Lages (Belo Horizonte, Brazil) led Bellevue in several offensive categories including goals (10), assists (4), points (24), and game-winning goals (5). Her five game-winners ranked 11th in the NAIA.

Midfielder Bruna Cola Bielski (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) played an instrumental role in the Bruin attack and shared the team lead with four assists. Her seven goals and 18 points were second only to Lages while her two game-winning goals were also good for a share of second place on the team.

Bellevue wrapped up a 12-4-0 season at the A.I.I. Tournament over the weekend, falling in heart-breaking fashion in the semifinal against Georgia Gwinnett College. The season represented a six-win improvement from 2019, highlighted by wins over a pair of National Tournament qualifiers in Concordia University and Kansas Wesleyan University.
