BU lands JuCo transfer Hopkisson

BELLEVUE, Neb. -- Bellevue University head women's soccer coach Tom White has announced the signing of Millie Hopkisson (Wisbech, Cambridgeshire, England) to a letter of intent to continue her academic and athletic careers at Bellevue beginning next fall.

The daughter of Mark and Joelle, Hopkisson comes to Bellevue from Johnson County Community College in Overland Park, Kan. where she spent the past two seasons playing as a midfielder and forward for the Cavaliers. She intends to major in Health and Human Performance at BU.

While playing for Johnson County, Hopkisson earned second team All-East Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference honors was a first team all-NJCAA Academic Student-Athlete with a 4.0 GPA. She totaled 13 goals and 10 assists in her time at JCCC.

Hopkisson joins earlier signees Emma Stock (Bellevue, Neb./Papillion-La Vista South HS), Sinai Bernal (Bennington, Neb./Elkhorn HS), Jaycee Billings (Papillion, Neb./Gross Catholic HS), and Britney Nolte (Springfield, Neb./Platteview HS) in the Bruins' 2020 recruiting class.

Bellevue finished the 2019 season at 6-6-3 and qualified for the A.I.I. Tournament in Lawrenceville, Ga.
