SILVIS, Ill. -- Led by senior Dominika Gradecka, the Bellevue University women's golf team battled through very difficult weather conditions and is currently in third place in the 13-team TPC Deere Run Invitational being played at the par-72, 5,830-yard TPC Deere Run Golf Course.
The Bruins, who fought through 50-mile-per-hour wind gusts, shot a team score of 358 and are 17 strokes behind tournament leader and host William Penn University which shot a team total of 341. BU is currently two strokes behind second-place Davenport University.
Gradecka fired an 11-over 83 and is tied for first place in the 73-player field. Gradecka had nine pars on the day.
Shanice DeGee carded a 16-over 88 and is tied for ninth.
Allison Temple registered a 93 and is tied for 20th.
Tylah Saifoloi is tied for 23rd after shooting a 94 in Monday's first round.
Tuesday's final round will begin with a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
