WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. --  As the lone Bruin competitor to make the cut for Friday's final round, sophomore Wendy Monfort finished in a tie for 55th place at the 2017 NAIA Women's Golf National Championship played at the par-72, 6,013-yard PGA National Squire Course.

The tournament was condensed to 54 holes after rain and extreme wind hampered the playing conditions for each of the first three days. Friday's final round produced very moderate conditions with little wind and 85-degree temperatures.

Monfort finished the tournament at 28-over par with a three-round total of 244 (82-79-83).

Oklahoma City University grabbed its eighth national championship team title, defeating second-place Embry-Riddle (Ariz.) University by eight strokes and the University of South Carolina-Beaufort by nine strokes. The Stars finished with a three-round team total of 925 (308-312-305).

Indiana Tech's Courtney Dye captured the individual title after finishing at 6-over par for the tournament with rounds of 72, 79, and 71.
