Little announced as second 2020 BU commit

BELLEVUE, Neb. -- Bellevue University head women's basketball coach Dave Denly has announced the signing of Shelby Little (Holiday Island, Ark./Eureka Springs HS) to a Letter of Intent to continue her academic and athletic careers at BU beginning in the fall.

Little, a 6-0 post player, comes to Bellevue from Eureka Springs High School where she guided the Highlanders to their first State Tournament appearance in 14 years. In addition to basketball, Little was an all-conference volleyball player and earned three top-five finishes at the State Track Meet (3rd, shot; 5th, 100M; 5th, 200M) as a junior.

On the hardwood, Little averaged 13.6 points, 6.7 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.8 steals per game for Eureka Springs. For her efforts, she earned All-State and first team all-conference honors in both her junior and senior seasons. This came on the heels of garner second team all-conference recognition as a sophomore and an honorable mention all-conference nod as a freshman.

A strong student, Little was a member of the National Honor Society and maintained a 3.7 GPA. She intends to major in biology at Bellevue.

Little joins earlier announced signee Aminah Hall (Denton, Texas/Braswell HS) in the Bruins' 2020 recruiting class.

In just the fourth season of its existence, the Bruins posted their second-straight 20-win campaign in 2019-20 and claimed a share of the NSAA Regular Season title for the second consecutive season.
