Aldao named NAIA National Offensive Player of the Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Senior Inaki Aldao was named the NAIA National Offensive Player of the Week for his performances last week in helping the Bruins to the Association of Independent Institutions Tournament title in Lawrenceville, Ga. 

He was named the Most Outstanding Player at the tournament. Aldao led the Bruins to the title by scoring the game-winning goal against Viterbo and No. 10 Georgia Gwinnett. Aldao accounted for both goals in the semifinal win against Viterbo, including the game-winner in overtime. He then found the back of the net in the 61st minute in the title match.

Aldao ranks second nationally with seven game-winning goals and third with 23 total goals and 48 total points. 

Aldao owns the school record for career goals with 45.

Bellevue will get a nine-day break before competing in the NAIA National Tournament Opening Round beginning on Thursday, Apr. 22. The entire field and match-ups will be announced via the NAIA Selection Show on Monday, Apr. 19 at noon.
