McPherson, Kan. -- For the second time in as many games, the No.  17 Bellevue University men's soccer team fell 2-0 behind but rallied to force overtime. This time, however, the Bruins had to settle for a 2-2 draw against host McPherson College at the Red Card Cancer Classic.

The draw allows Bellevue to move their record to 2-4-2 on the season while McPherson is now 3-0-1.

McPherson got on the board first, in the 27th minute. David Mwinga kicked in the opening goal with the assist going to Tyler Minney.

Just under 10 minutes later the Bulldogs doubled their advantage. Trent Keller headed in a cross from Nick Torres off a set piece.

The two-goal advantage didn't hold long as, in the final minute of the first half, Rob Smith put Bellevue on the board with his first goal of the season. Amador Rangel assisted on the goal that cut the McPherson lead in half.

In the 79th minute, Scott Robson struck with the equalizer for Bellevue. Robson struck a direct free kick that found the back of the net for his second goal of the year.

Shots between Bellevue and McPherson were even at 16-16 but the Bulldogs held a slight 8-7 advantage in shots on goal.

BU played the final 3:13 a man down following a sending off.
