The Bellevue University men's soccer team participated in the Performance Community Truck-Pull on Saturday (May 18) raising money for the Wounded Warriors Family Support organization.

The truck-pull event celebrated the opening of the new Performance Bellevue dealership and pitted local teams against each other - pulling nearly two tons worth of Ram turcks in a competition to win cash prizes for their favorite charity.

The Bruins finished third in the event, raising $750 for Wounded Warriors. Wounded Warriors Family Support is an independent non-profit organization that provides support to the families of U.S. Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines who have been wounded, injured or killed during combat operations. For more information, visit www.wwfs.org.

The truck pull teams competed against each other and against the clock. Each team faced off against a competitior on 19th Street in front of the dealership. Teams of five pulled two heavyweight, linked trucks to the finish line.

Teams in the event included Bellevue police and fire departments, Bellevue East and West high school students led by their principals, Bellevue University and the Bellevue Community Foundation. Performance Auto awarded more than $4000 in cash prizes for favorite charities with a $1,500 check for the grand prize winner.
