OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. -- Floris-Jan Oosterhof fired two sub-par rounds on Monday to stake the Bellevue University men's golf team to a eight-stroke lead over both Southwestern Christian University and Oklahoma City University after two rounds of play at the Southern Plains Intercollegiate at the Gaillardia Country Club.

Bellevue began the day with all four scoring golfers logging first rounds between 1-under and 1-over. Despite the strong start, the Bruins (+1) found themselves one stroke back of early leader Southwestern Christian University (E).

The Bruins turned it on in the second round with all four scorers at least matching their first round score en route to a tournament-best 286 (-2) team total. Coupled with a significant drop-off by the Eagles, Bellevue finds themselves atop the leaderboard after two rounds. The Bruins lead Oklahoma City (583, +7) and SCU (583, +7) by eight strokes each.

Individual Recap:

Floris-Jan Oosterhof (71-71) is one of two players to record a pair of runs under par. With a 36-hole total of 142 (-2), he enters Wednesday's final round nine strokes back of Oklahoma City's David Meyers (133, -11).

Andre Becerra (73-71) and Alex Zillig (72-72) are currently tied for third place with an even-par 144 after 36 holes.

Rodrigo Navarette (73-72) also finds himself in the top 10, tied for ninth overall, after a strong day in which he carded a 1-over 145.

Cameron Lampe (78-81) is 39th overall with a score of 159 (+15).

Golfing as an individual, Lucas Leinen (79-76) currently sits in 30th place with a score of 155 (+11).
