Men's golf finishes fourth at Roger Doerr Invitational

VALENTINE, Neb. -- The Bellevue University men's golf team finished in fourth place Tuesday at the five-team Roger Doerr Invitational hosted by Hastings College in Valentine, Neb. 

The Bruins finished 14 strokes behind tournament champion Viterbo University and were just four strokes behind second-place Morningside College.

Tuesday's final round was played at the par-73, 6,825-yard Pines Country Club.

Senior Mike Hannon was the top BU golfer in the tournament, finishing in a tie for eighth-place in the 29-player field. Hannon shot a 4-over 77 Tuesday for a 16-over par total of 162 (85-77).

Viterbo's Bennett Laxton was the individual champion, carding a 9-over par 155 (82-73).
