Overwatch wins all eight games en route to 4-0 week

BELLEVUE, Neb. -- The Bellevue University Overwatch team capped off a perfect week on Wednesday evening with their fourth win since Sunday. The Bruins upped their record to 15-1 in Tespa competitions by winning each of their four matches by scores of two games to none.

National League: 5-1

Bellevue def. Illinois State, 2-0 (Maps: Blizzard World, Oasis)

In a match-up of 4-1 squads, it was Bellevue emerging victorious with two quick map wins ahead of a consolation courtesy third game.

Regional League: 4-0

Bellevue def. Dakota State, 2-0 (Maps: Rialto, Temple of Anubis)

In a de facto semifinal for the regular season crown, Bellevue knocked Dakota State from the ranks of the unbeaten with a 2-0 victory. BU's win, coupled with Colorado's victory over Wichita State, sets up a match-up between the last two undefeated teams for next week.

Varsity League, Region 2-A: 6-0

Bellevue def. Culver-Stockton, 2-0 (Maps: Lijang Tower, Route 66)

Bellevue def. Grand View, 2-0 (Maps: Ilios, Temple of Anubis)

BU picked up two more decisive wins in Varsity League play defeating both Culver-Stockton and Grand View two games to none and have now won 12 of the 13 games they've played in their six matches.

The win over Grand View also assures the Bruins of at least a share of the Region 2-A Varsity League Regular Season Championship.

BU wraps up the regular season portion of all three Tespa leagues in which they compete over the next week. Bellevue faces N.C. State (6 p.m.) to close out the National League regular season on Sunday, Feb. 17.

Bellevue also faces fellow unbeaten team Colorado (7:30 p.m.) on Sunday, Feb. 17 in the Regional League finale, with the winner of the match claiming the Region 4 Regular Season Title.

Additionally, the Bruins (6-0) compete in their final Varsity League match on Tuesday, Feb. 19 against Upper Iowa (2-3) at 8 p.m.
