Shawn Malley

Shawn Malley

Shawn Malley was named the Athletic Facilities Manager at Bellevue University in 2013.

The Billings, Mont., native graduated from Billings Skyview High School in 1995. During that time, Malley played five years in the nationally-renowned Billings Post #4 American Legion program for the Billings Royals. After a successful American Legion career, Malley played at North Idaho College in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, for one year before transferring to Mayville State University in Mayville, N.D., to finish his playing career.

Due to an upper arm injury, Malley jumped into the coaching ranks while still playing at Mayville State. In 1996, during his first coaching assignment, he had a successful start by helping guide the Class A Billings Blue Jays to a Montana State Tournament title and an American Legion Western Regional Tournament fourth-place finish.

He and his wife, Shari, reside in Omaha, Neb. with their five children, Regan (7), Reese (6), Riley (2) and newborn twins Renzie and Ryan.

Malley earned a bachelor’s degree in sports management with a minor in coaching and a specialization in business and health from Mayville State. In May of 2010, he completed a Master’s Degree in Leadership at Bellevue University.

In addition to his duties as the athletic facilities manager, he also serves as a baseball assistant.
