Tyler Kohmetscher

Tyler Kohmetscher begins his seventh season as an assistant athletic trainer at Bellevue University in 2021-22. He primarily works with the volleyball and baseball teams.

He graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Exercise Science with a minor in Biology from Concordia University in 2013. Subsequently, he went on to earn his Master’s of Arts in Athletic Training from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.

Prior to Bellevue, Kohmetscher worked as an athletic training student at the University of Nebraska-Omaha. He has also gained valuable clinical experience through his work with the Indiana University football team, USA baseball, and the National Junior College Athletic Association wrestling tournament.

Kohmetscher has also worked for Varsity Spirit Corporation as a Certified Athletic Trainer and Camp Administrator, See the Trainer as a Sports Medicine Specialist, University of Nebraska-Omaha as a Personal Trainer, and for Spectrum Spine and Sport Physical Therapy as a Physical Therapy Aide.

Outside of collegiate athletics, he also has experience in the field with Madonna Therapy Plus, Bryan Health Hospital, and Exstrom Physical Therapy.

Kohmetscher is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association, National Strength and Conditioning Association, Mid-America Athletic Trainers’ Association, and the Nebraska State Athletic Trainer’s Association.

Kohmetscher and his wife Kaylee reside in Omaha with their twin boys, Carter and Beckett (2), and son Maverick (1).
