Siedlik nominated for Sports Commission Award for second-straight year

OMAHA, Neb. -- After guiding the Bellevue University volleyball program to an NAIA National Runner-Up finish, BU head volleyball coach Trish Siedlik has been nominated for the Omaha Sports Commission's Female Coach of the Year. It marked the second-straight season that Siedlik has been nominated for the prestigious honor. 

The Omaha Sports Commission Awards Show honors top athletes, coaches, and sport performances from the Omaha metropolitan area via individual awards and by inducting the next Omaha Sports Hall of Fame class.

Coach Siedlik guided the Bruins to an NAIA National Runner-Up showing, finishing the 2024 season with an overall record of 32-5. Bellevue captured the North Star Athletic Association regular season and post-season tournament titles while advancing to the NAIA National Tournament for the 17th time in school history. Their second-place finish at Nationals was the best showing in school history. Bellevue finished the season ranked No. 2 in the final NAIA top 25 poll. Coach Siedlik was named both the NAIA and AVCA National Coach of the Year.   

Coach Siedlik is among five nominees for the award, which will be presented at the end of May. 

The 7th Omaha Sports Commission Awards Show presented by The Lerner Company is set for Thursday, May 29, 2025, at The Relevant Center in Elkhorn, Neb. The red carpet begins at 5:30 p.m., and the show starts at 7:00 p.m. The Exclusive After Party promptly follows the show.
