Galas again recognized as NSAA Setter of the Week

MADISON, S.D. -- Junior setter Olivia Galas (Bellevue, Neb.) has once again been honored by the North Star Athletic Association for her performance last week for the Bruins volleyball team.

Galas was named the conference Setter of the Week after averaging 10.86 assists per game in Bellevue's two conference road matches last week. She added 16 digs, three blocks, and a pair of kills to her stat line.

In a match-up of the league's two most talented teams, Galas recorded 36 assists and narrowly missed out on a double-double, finishing with nine digs in a four-set loss to Viterbo. She followed up with her seventh 40-assist match of the year against Waldorf and added seven more digs.

For Galas, it is the fourth time this season receiving NSAA Setter of the Week honors and the 19th time in her career she has been recognized as such.

Galas ranks seventh nationally, and leads the North Star, with 11.0 assists per set.

The 12th-ranked Bruins (12-3/10-1 NSAA) host Dakota State (12-7/8-3) on Wednesday evening in their home finale with first serve scheduled for 7 p.m. from inside the Gordon Lozier Athletic Center.
