LA CROSSE, WI -- Led by outside hitters Katie Frohmader and Kenzie Winkler, the sixth-ranked Viterbo University volleyball team defeated No. 13 Bellevue University, 3-1 (25-14, 24-26, 25-16, 25-13) Friday night in North Star Athletic Association action at the R.W. Beggs Gymnasium. 

With the loss, the Bruins fell to 24-6 on the season and 9-3 in the NSAA. Viterbo improved to 27-5 overall and 11-1 in league play. With the win, VU clinched at least a share of the regular-season conference title. 

Sierra Athen led the Bruins with her 17th double-double of the season, finishing with 10 kills and 11 digs. Coree Lipovsky added six kills on .417 hitting while adding a pair of blocks. 

Olivia Galas collected 30 assists, six digs and three blocks in the loss. 

Madi Evans anchored the Bruin defense with a match-high 12 digs. 

Frohmader paced the V-Hawks with 12 kills and two digs. Winkler added 11 kills, six digs, and two service aces 

BU was plagued by 30 attack errors, six service errors, and seven receive errors. 

The Bruins will travel to Forest City, Iowa tomorrow (Nov. 2) for a 7 p.m. match at Waldorf University.
