BELLEVUE, Neb. -- Outside hitters Sierra Athen and Andrea Carson both pounded 10 kills to lead the 14th-ranked Bellevue University volleyball team to a 3-0 (25-21, 25-19, 25-21) sweep over Dickinson State University Friday night in North Star Athletic Association action at the Gordon Lozier Athletic Center.

With the win, the Bruins improved to 13-4 on the season and 2-1 in the NSAA. DSU fell to 5-7 overall and 0-3 in league play. 

Carson hit .333 in the match while adding a dig and a block. 

In her first career start, freshman Riley Burcham dished out 36 assists and guided the Bruins to a .252 attack percentage. She also added five digs and four kills in the victory. 

Defensively, BU was paced by Madi Evans and Paige Holdsworth who provided 11 digs apiece. 

The Blue Hawks were led by Abby Moerkerke who had seven kills on 15 errorless swings for a .467 hitting percentage.  

The Bruins will host Valley City State University on Saturday in a 2 p.m. NSAA contest at the Gordon Lozier Athletic Center.
