WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- The 22nd-ranked Bellevue University volleyball team closed out play in the Keiser University Tournament with a pair of 3-0 sweeps over Pensacola Christian College and Georgetown (Ky.) College Friday afternoon at the Massimino Court in the Countess de Hoernle Student Life Center. BU defeated PCC 25-10, 25-11, 25-13 in the opener, while downing GC, 25-14, 25-14, 25-19 in the nightcap.
The Bruins finished the tournament with a perfect 4-0 mark after opening tourney play with victories over Keiser University and St. Thomas (Fla.) University on Thursday.
Bellevue (4-0) will travel to Hastings, Neb. next Friday-Saturday, Aug. 23-24, for three matches against top-15 ranked teams in the Bill Marshall Classic hosted by Hastings College. The Bruins will open tourney play with a 1 p.m. match against No. 3-ranked Grand View University on Friday.

Sophomore outside hitter Sierra Athen pounded 11 kills on .333 hitting to lead the Bruins to the 3-0 sweep in the opener. Bellevue hit .330 in the match and the BU defense held the Eagles to a -.014 attacking clip. Sophomore Rosa Reed-Bouley added seven kills and freshman Paige Holdsworth provided six kills on seven errorless swings.
All 17 Bruins saw action in the match and 10 BU players recorded at least one kill in the victory.
Bellevue out-dug PCC, 39-26, as only one Eagle registered more than four kills in the match. Ginger Cannon led PCC with five kills and a block.
Sophomore Olivia Galas dished out 28 assists and added six digs and two services.

Led by Athen, the Bruins hit a blistering .420 to close out the tournament with the sweep over Georgetown. Athen recorded a double-double with 15 kills and 14 digs, while adding a pair of service aces. She hit .556 in the match with no errors in 27 swings.
Reed-Bouley collected 11 kills on .450 hitting and added a block.
BU had six attackers who hit above .315 in the sweep.
Galas provided 34 assists, six digs, and four kills while attacking at a .429 hitting clip.
The Bruins held a 45-40 edge in digs and a commanding 7-1 advantage in blocks in the win.
The Tigers were led by Ashton Meckle's nine kills and three digs.
