LA CROSSE, Wis. -- Top-seeded Viterbo University won its third-straight North Star Athletic Association Tournament title on Saturday afternoon with a 3-0 (25-20, 25-15, 25-20) victory over Bellevue University Saturday afternoon at R.W. Beggs Gymnasium on the Viterbo campus. 

With the win, Viterbo (35-1) earned an automatic berth into the NAIA National Tournament after winning its 64th-straight home match. The Bruins, who are 28-11 overall and ranked No. 22 nationally, will await word of their post-season fate when the NAIA National Tournament qualifiers and pairings for the Opening Round are announced on Monday, Nov. 13 at 10 a.m.

Mikaylah Gillespie led the Bruins with 10 kills, three digs, and three blocks. Shayla Scanlan produced nine kills, two digs, and a block. Hope Lambrecht finished with seven kills on .545 hitting. 

Maddie Squiers recorded her team-leading 18th double-double of the season, finishing with 30 assists and 10 digs while directing the BU offense to a .152 hitting percentage. 

NSAA Player of the Year Natalie Geidel led the V-Hawks with 14 kills on .429 hitting while adding three blocks. Aubrey Aspen and Maya Roberts both finished with 10 kills each for VU. Amelia Grahn dished out 40 assists and added six digs and three kills while leading the V-Hawk offense to a .327 hitting percentage.
