VALLEY CITY, N.D. -- Seniors Hope Lambrecht, Mikaylah Gillespie and Michaela Gardner combined for 29 kills to lead the Bellevue University volleyball team to a 3-1 (25-13, 23-25, 25-20, 25-23) victory at Valley City State University Friday night in North Star Athletic Association action at Gretchen Gymnasium. 

The Bruins improved to 23-7 on the season and 9-3 in the NSAA. The Vikings dropped to 11-10 overall and 5-5 in league play. 

Lambrecht, who returned for her first match since injuring her ankle, led BU with 11 kills on .364 hitting and added a match-high six blocks. Gillespie hit .318 while recording nine kills, two service aces and a pair of blocks. Gpaced ardner pounded nine kills and added two digs in the win. 

Defensively, the Bruins were led by Taylor Holz' 22 digs.

Maddie Squiers directed the BU offense to a .197 hitting percentage, dishing out 40 assists, while adding seven digs, four kills and four service aces. 

The Vikings were led by Clarissa Olson's nine kills on 14 errorless swings and Hallie Wilds' 16 digs and two service aces. 

The Bruins will travel to Mayville, N.D. on Saturday for a noon conference match at Mayville State University.
