BELLEVUE, Neb. -- Four Bruins finished with 10 kills as the 21st-ranked Bellevue University volleyball team upset 20th-ranked University of Jamestown 3-1 (25-15, 25-23, 19-25, 25-21) Friday night in North Star Athletic Association action at the Gordon Lozier Athletic Center. 

The Bruins improved to 25-9 on the season and 11-3 in the NSAA. Jamestown fell to 19-11 overall and 9-3 in league play. The win avenged the Bruins' five-set loss at Jamestown on Sept. 30.  

Pakalana Helekahi, Shayla Scanlan, Hope Lambrecht and Michaela Gardner all produced 10 kills in the win. Scanlan hit .304 while adding three digs and a block.

Maddie Squiers collected her team-leading 10th double-double of the season, finishing with 39 assists and 13 digs, while adding five kills and two service aces.  

Defensively, the Bruins were led by Taylor Holz' 19 digs as each team recorded 64 digs in the match. 

Heather Bachman led the Jimmies with 10 kills and four blocks. 

The Bruins will play a pair of matches on Saturday, Oct. 29 at Grace University in Omaha. Bellevue plays conference rival Dickinson State University at noon and host Grace at 4 p.m.
