BOURBONNAIS, Ill. -- Sophomore Rachel Wald scored 11 kills while hitting .450 on 20 attempts to lead the Bellevue University volleyball team to a 3-0 victory over Trinity Christian at the Olivet Nazarene Invitational. Bellevue won by scores of 25-18, 25-14, and 25-8.

Bellevue attacked at least .275 in each set with hitting percentages of .275 (1st set), .324 (2nd set), and .562 (3rd set). The Bruins did not make an error in the third set on 16 attacks.

In support of Wald's offensive effort, freshman Marylyn Mozena finished with eight kills, sophomore Mikaylah Gillespie totaled six, freshman Shayla Scanlan added four, and junior Rachel Barr chipped in three.

Senior Beth Walker added her 13th double-double, finishing with 30 assists and 10 digs, to go along with six kills. Defensively, sophomore Taylor Holz led the Bruins with 17 digs.

The Bruins (10-8) return to the court tomorrow with a pair of matches. Bellevue plays (RV) Cornerstone at 11 a.m. and Davenport at 1 p.m.
