POINT LOOKOUT, Mo. -- For the first time in her career, Annie Benson was named the Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference's Hitter of the Week announced by the league office today.
Benson recorded double-digit kills in all three of the Bruins' matches at the Baker Invitational, including a career-high 22 kills and 14 digs against Park (Sept. 7). This marked her first career double-double.
For the season, Benson ranks second on the team with 115 kills, while adding 100 digs and nine blocks.
Bellevue (10-4) returns to conference action tomorrow (Sept. 11) with a 6:30 p.m. match at Waldorf College.
