LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- Bellevue University sophomore Saskia Pepel (Mossingen, Germany) has been named the Association of Independent Institutions' Women's Soccer Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday morning.

Pepel netted goals in both the 19th and 33rd minutes to elevate the Bruins to a 2-0 victory over visiting Waldorf on Saturday.

The goals were her first and second of the season after she scored once in 13 games last season. Her first goal was also her first career game-winning strike.
