BALDWIN CITY, Kan. -- Baker University scored in the third minute in what proved to be the game-winner as the Wildcats edged Bellevue University, 1-0, in non-conference women's soccer action Tuesday night at Liston Stadium. 

With the loss, the Bruins fell to 9-3 on the season. Baker improved to 5-8-1 overall. 

Allyson Hertig found the back of the net on a pass from Jenna Lattimer at 2:46 and Wildcat goalie Taylor Rogers recorded eight saves, allowing no goals in 90 minutes of action in goal.

Maria Tome Flores registered a match-high six shots with three on goal for the Bruins. 

Sabrina Staufenbiel (7-3) suffered the loss, allowing one goal with four saves in 90 minutes in goal. 

The Bruins held a 15-9 advantage in shots and an 8-5 edge in shots on goal.  

Bellevue will travel to La Crosse, Wis. on Saturday, Oct. 20 for a 12 p.m. match at Viterbo University.
