Saifoloi, Temple pace BU on first day of Lila Frommelt Fall Classic

DAKOTA DUNES, S.D. -- Sophomore Tylah Saifoloi and senior Allison Temple turned in the top Bruin rounds on the day as the Bellevue University women's golf team competed in the Lila Frommelt Fall Classic being played at the 5,872-yard, par-72 Two Rivers Golf Course. 

Saifoloi and Temple both carded 8-over par 80's on Friday, putting the duo in a tie for sixth place in the 84-player field. Both are one stroke out of second place and trail tournament leader Kendra Placke of Concordia, who leads the field after posting a 1-over 73. 

Saifoiloi recorded 10 pars and a birdie on the day, while Temple tallied eight pars and one birdie in the first round. 

Morningside has a 6-stroke lead in the 14-team race, recording a team score of 34-over par, 322. The Bruins did not field a team score. 

Shanice DeGee is currently in a tie for 12th place at 11-over par. Her round was highlighted by a pair of birdies.  

Saturday's final round will begin with a 9:30 a.m. shotgun start.
