OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. -- Led by senior Madison Brooks, the Bellevue University women's golf team is currently in third place in the 13-team Sydney Cox Invitational being played at the 6,005-yard par-72 Lincoln Park Golf Club. 

Brooks fired a 2-over 74 on Monday and is tied for fifth in the 70-player field. She had 10 pars and three birdies on the day. 

Brooks helped guide the Bruins to a 16-over par team score of 304. Host Oklahoma City University leads the field at 4-over par (292). Embry-Riddle (Ariz.) is in second at 10-over par (298).  

The tournament features five teams ranked in the top 20 in the nation. The Bruins received votes in the most recent poll.  

Allison Temple and Jirattiphon Phongthanachalitkun are both tied for 10th at 4-over par as both shot identical rounds of 76. Mikayla King is tied for 22nd place at 6-over par (78). Tylah Saifoloi was the final BU scorer, carding an 8-over par 80 which puts her in a tie for 28th overall. 

Embry-Riddle's Jessica Williams leads the field at 4-under par. Oklahoma City's Lauryn Pritchard and Melissa Eldredge are both tied for second at 2-under.  

Tuesday's final round will begin with a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
