BROKEN ARROW, Okla. -- Four BU players are currently in the top 10 as the Bellevue University women's golf team sits in first place after the opening round of the Eagle Spring Classic hosted by Oklahoma Wesleyan University at the par-72 Battle Creek Golf Club. 

The Bruins shot a team score of 35-over 323 on the day and hold a four-shot advantage over second-place Southwestern Christian University. Oklahoma Wesleyan in third, five strokes back at 40-over par. 

Madison Brooks and Morgan Hazzard are both tied for fifth in the individual standings at 8-over par. Kim Moore fired a 9-over 81 and is in seventh place in the 24-player field. 

Allison Temple is tied for eighth place at 10-over par. Bri Stagge is tied for 17th at 14-over par. 

OKWU's Korena Aills leads the field after shooting a 3-over 75 on Monday. SWCU's Madelyn Lehr is in second at 4-over par. 

Tuesday's final round will begin with a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
