Bruins down Cottey in non-conference action, 66-52

NEVADA, Mo. -- Faith Ross and Morgan Cuffe combined for 32 points to lead the Bellevue University women's basketball team to a 66-52 victory at Cottey College Tuesday night in non-conference action at the Hinkhouse Center Gymnasium.

The Bruins improved to 8-4 on the season with the victory. Cottey remained winless, falling to 0-7 overall. 

Ross scored 16 points, going 5-of-8 from the field, connecting on three 3-pointers, while adding three rebounds in the victory. Cuffe also added 16 points, shooting 50 percent from the field, going 6-of-12, while adding four rebounds and a pair of steals. 

Kelsey Action paced the Comets with 15 points and three rebounds. 

The Bruins open up conference play on Saturday, Dec. 1 when they host Dakota State at 3 p.m. in the Gordon Lozier Athletic Center.
