Four players earn All-A.I.I. soccer honors

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- Four Bellevue University student-athletes have been recognized by the Association of Independent Institutions on the All-A.I.I. men's soccer team, as announced by the A.I.I. office on Tuesday.

Forward Inaki Aldao (Buenos Aires, Argentina) has set numerous scoring records this season including both the single-season (24) and career goal-scoring (49) marks. He has added five assists for career totals of 49 goals, 13 assists, and 111 points. Aldao has totaled three hat tricks, including a five-goal performance at Tabor this season.

Midfielder Toby Millward (Kings Lynn, England) has been a key cog in the Bruins' offense attack scoring 14 goals and 14 assists while serving as BU's set piece specialist. His 14 assists rate the second-most in a single season while his 14 goals are good for sixth-most in a season. He is the only player in program history with at least 30 goals and assists with his 31 assists representing the most in program annals.

Midfielder Zach Robbins (Omaha, Neb.) has played in 10 games after transferring from Division I Nebraska-Omaha and has been a steadying piece to the Bruin midfield. Since Robbins was inserted into the lineup, Bellevue is 8-0-2. He has shown a keen eye and knack for playing the right ball while scoring two goals and four assists for BU.

Defender Andy Wilkinson (Lincoln, England) has served as the Bellevue captain throughout the season and anchored an imposing back three that has posted nine clean sheets. Under Wilkinson's watch, the Bellevue defense has yielded just 20 goals through 22 games and are limiting the opposition to just over three shots on goal per game.

Bellevue have posted a 16-4-2 mark on the year and won the A.I.I. Tournament, defeating Georgia Gwinnett 2-0 back on Apr. 10. The Bruins most recently won the NAIA Opening Round – Olathe Bracket, defeating McPherson and MidAmerica Nazarene to advance to the quarterfinal round of the NAIA National Tournament in Evans, Ga.

The quarterfinals are the furthest the program has ever advanced in the National Tournament. BU faced Columbia College on Thursday, May 6 at 7 p.m. central time at Blanchard Woods Park; Bellevue defeated the Cougars 1-0 back on Sept. 12.
