
BETHANY, Okla. -- The Bellevue University men's soccer team broke open a scoreless game with two late goals in the first half as the Bruins shut out Southern Nazarene University, 2-0, Friday afternoon in nonconference action.
With the win, Bellevue improved to 7-2-1 on the season. The Crimson Storm fell to 4-4-2 overall.
Freshman Graeme Eaglesham scored the game's first goal unassisted in the game's 42nd minute.
Two minutes later, junior Mark Heath-Preston found the back of the net with just over one minute remaining before halftime on a pass from Tom White.
Junior goal keeper Sebastian Narvaez recorded three saves in the win, while improving to 7-2-1 on the season, collecting his second complete-game shutout.
Bellevue outshot SNU 20-15 and held a 14-3 advantage in shots on goal.
The Bruins will return home for a 7:30 p.m. contest against William Jewell on Tuesday, Oct. 13 at Tranquility Park.
