MADISON, S.D. - For the third time this season, junior Floris-Jan Oosterhof has been named the North Star Athletic Association's Men's Golfer of the Week for his performances in the Bruins' two tournaments this past week.
After Oosterhof shot 1-under par to finish third at the Nebraska Intercollegiate Classic last weekend at the Norfolk Country Club in Norfolk, Neb., he carded a 1-over par 54-hole total to win the UNO Maverick Invitational, defeating teammate Andre Becerra in a two-hole playoff, taking home individual medalist honors for the second time this season. His performances helped the Bruins claim the team titles in both events.
His first-round score of 70 at the Maverick Invite was his second-best round of the season.
Oosterhof currently leads the Bruins with a 72.36 strokes-per-round average.
The Bruins have now won back-to-back tournaments and four of the six tournaments in which they have competed (finishing second in both the Mid-South Classic and the NAIA Fall Preview).
Bellevue wraps up the fall portion of their 2020-21 schedule next week at the Grand View University Invitational. The Tournament is set for Monday-Tuesday, Oct. 19-20 at Otter Creek Golf Course in Ankeny, Iowa.
