MADISON, S.D. -- For the second time this season, sophomore Alex Zillig (La Vista, Neb.) has been named the North Star Athletic Association Men's Golfer of the Week for his performance at the Southern Plains Intercollegiate Classic.
Zillig finished the tournament at 7-over par with rounds of 75, 73, and 75 at the 7,120-yard, par-72 Gaillardia Country Club in Oklahoma City, Okla.
He finished in 10th place in the 49-player field, which included golfers from NCAA Division I schools University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State University. He helped Bellevue to a third-place showing in the six-team tournament.
Zillig finished in the top 10 in four tournaments during the fall season and has the Bruins' second-best season average at 73.54 strokes per round.
The Bruins have completed the fall portion of the 2019-20 schedule. They will resume play next March.
