MORAVIA, Iowa -- Paced by Fernando Arzate's 3-under 69, the Bellevue University men's golf team placed fourth in their first tournament of the season, the Midwest Intercollegiate Fall Open, at The Preserve on Rathbun Lake Golf Course.

The tournament – originally scheduled for three rounds over two days – was shortened to one round after rain washed out Sunday and cut Monday's action short.

Bellevue shot 10-over (298) as a team, just three strokes off second place Iowa Central and William Penn. Mount Mercy won the tournament with a team score of 274 (-14).

Lautaro Marzilio was second among Bruin golfers with a 2-over 74, two strokes ahead of Marc Juggins' 4-over 76. Juan Gomez

Arzate birdied five holes which was the second-most in the tournament field. Marzilio added four birdies.
