SILVIS, Ill. -- Freshman Fernando Arzate shot 4-over on the day to finish in a tie for 41st place at the 2016 NAIA Men's Golf National Championships played at the TPC at Deere Run.

Arzate carded a 2-over 37 on the front nine before closing out the back nine with a score of 38, good for 2-over. In four rounds of action, Arzate shot 300 for a 72-hole score of 16-over par.

The 41st-place finish comes on the heels of Arzate being named to the NAIA PING all-Region team earlier in the day. Arzate was one of 15 golfers named to the annual all-Central Region team.

Oklahoma City University claimed the team championship by recording an eight-stroke victory over second-place University of British of Columbia, finishing with a team score of 1,164 over four rounds.

Texas Wesleyan's David Ravetto won the individual title after firing a 3-under 68 on the day and a four-round total of 3-under, 281.
