Men’s Golf holds two-stroke lead through first round of NSAA Tournament

OXBOW, N.D. -- Juniors Juan Gomez and Diego Gudino are both tied for first after one round of play at the North Star Athletic Association Fall Qualifier being played at the Oxbow Country Club.

The course, Oxbow 1, is a 6,863 yard par 72 with a rating of 132.

Through the first round of play Gomez and Gudino have both shot first round scores of 75, good for 3-over par. They are tied with Ryan Allen (Presentation) and Kris Graewin (Viterbo) for the overall lead.

Freshmen Fernando Arzate and Marc Juggins are both tied for 12th place after shooting identical scores of 9-over (81) in the round. Rounding out Bellevue's competitors at the event is senior Mike Hannon and his first round 88.

As a team Bellevue owns a two-stroke lead over second place Viterbo after recording a team score of 312 in the opening round.

Play continues tomorrow with a 10 a.m. tee time.
