POLK CITY, Iowa -- Led by Tomas Ovejero and Jose Vega, the Bellevue University men's golf team finished sixth at the Grand View Viking Classic on Tuesday at the Tournament Club of Iowa.
Host Grand View University took the team title with a two-day total of 600. The Bruins concluded the tournament with a total score of 619.
Ovejero placed second after scores of 75 and 73 while Vega (71-78--149) also finished in the top five with a fourth place finish.
Nicolas Herrera notched a 17th place finish after a two-round total of 154 while Nicolas Handal fired rounds of 83 and 85.
Competing as an individual, Diego Gudino finished in a tie for 30th with rounds of 85 and 75.
The Bruins will compete in the Ashford Invitational on Sept. 30-Oct 1.
