Jason Isaacson

Jason Isaacson enters his third season as an assistant coach on the Bruin men’s basketball staff in 2011-12. He previously coached at Bellevue West High School, serving as the varsity boys assistant and youth coordinator. He helped lead the Thunderbirds to a 23-3 record and a Nebraska State Tournament berth in 2007-08.

Isaacson was a standout player at Dana College, earning NAIA All-American honors in 2005-06 while finishing second in NAIA Division II in scoring with 25.1 points per game. During the 2005-06 season, Isaacson scored a single-season school record 803 points and a career-high 48 points against Morningside College. In two seasons as a Viking, Isaacson scored 1,372 points and averaged 21.8 points per contest while shooting 48 percent from the field and 37 percent from three-point range.

Isaacson is married and teaches elementary physical education in Council Bluffs, Iowa, where he resides.
