James Caldwell

James Caldwell begins his first season on the Bruin coaching staff in 2011-12, after spending last season as an assistant coach at John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Ark. 

Caldwell helped lead JBU to a 22-9 record last season while assisting in all phases of the program, including scouting, recruiting, player development, and on-court coaching.

A Kansas City, Mo. native, Caldwell played at Hickman Mills High School, where he led his team in assists and steals from 1997-2000.

Caldwell played collegiately at McKendree University from 2003-2006 for head coach Harry Statham. He earned a bachelor's degree in physical education from McKendree and is currently pursuing his master's degree at Bellevue.

In addition to his collegiate coaching experience, Caldwell has spent several years coaching AAU Basketball and volunteering at the High School level.
