BELLEVUE, Neb. -- Despite shooting over 50 percent and draining 15 three-pointers on Saturday afternoon the No. 22-ranked Bellevue University men's basketball team suffered a 90-87 loss to visiting Haskell Indian Nations University at the Gordon Lozier Athletic Center.

In a game that featured eight ties and 14 lead changes, Haskell emerged victorious over Bellevue.
BU jumped out to a 10-3 lead in the first 2:04 and led by six points before a 12-0 Haskell run that lasted just 2:18 gave the Indians an 18-12 lead at the13:46 mark.
Things settled down for the remainder of the half with the host Bruins taking a 42-41 lead into the locker room.
The second half picked up where the first half with neither team really able to pull away.
Bellevue stretched a lead to six points, 71-65, on a layup by Jaylen Wiltz with 6:34 remaining but a three-pointer from Haskell's Antwon Winn on the ensuing possession cut the lead in half.
The Bruins stayed ahead until Winn nailed a three-pointer with 2:08 to play.
Consecutive empty possessions by BU and five-straight points from Haskell put the Indians ahead 83-77 with 55 seconds to play.
Bryon Elledge sank 12-of-15 free throw attempts, including going 9-of-12 in the game's final 55 seconds on his way to a game-high 30 points for the Indians.
With Haskell ahead by two, Elledge made just one of two free throws as BU's Lewis Hayes came away with the rebound but his heave from well beyond half court came up short.
Antwon Winn added 23 for Haskell, Jordan Goodwill scored 18, and Aspen LaPointe chipped in 12.
Haskell out-shot the Bruins 54.4-50.8 percent from the floor and were edged just slightly behind the arc, 42.9-42.3 percent in favor of BU. At the free throw line, the Indians sank 17-of-24 (70.8 percent) attempts while Bellevue was 12-of-18 (66.7 percent).
Bellevue turned the ball over 12 times to Haskell's nine which gave Haskell an 11-6 advantage in points off turnovers.
