BELLEVUE, Neb. -- Percy Lemle and Taylor Young combined for 47 points to lead the sixth-ranked Bellevue University men's basketball team to a 98-91 win over Central Christian College Friday night in Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference action at the Gordon Lozier Athletic Center. 

With the win, Bellevue improved to 15-3 on the season and 1-1 in the MCAC. The Tigers dropped to 10-5 overall and 0-1 in league play. 

Lemle scored a career-high 27 points, while adding nine rebounds and four assists. Young finished with 20 points, three rebounds and three assists. Joining Lemle and Young in double figures were Pogos Trunyan with 14 and Thomas Hammock with 12. 

Michael Gholston (24), Tere Adams (20) and Daniel Nwosuh (18) scored 62 of the Tigers' 91 points. 

With the game knotted at 29 apiece, the Bruins scored 10-straight while ending the opening period on a 24-8 run to grab a 53-37 lead at the break. 

Lemle paced BU in the first half with 14 points, four rebounds and three assists as Bellevue outshot the Tigers 54.8 to 36.1 percent in the opening 20 minutes. 

Bellevue scored 12 of the first 14 points to open the second half, pushing the lead to 26 points (65-39) with 16:27 remaining in the contest. 

A 3-pointer by Hammock gave the Bruins their largest advantage of 27 points (68-41) at the 16-minute mark. 

The Tigers climbed back to within 12 points (82-70) following a 22-8 run, capped by a 3-pointer by Gholston with five minutes left in the game.

Central Christian cut the lead to single digits (90-81) following a layup by Adams at 1:27. 

Bellevue, however, hit six free throws in the final minute to seal the 98-91 victory. 

The two teams combined for 26 3-pointers in the contest and both teams grabbed 38 rebounds. 

The Bruins will host York College at 5 p.m. tomorrow (Jan. 17) at the Gordon Lozier Athletic Center.
