POINT LOOKOUT, Mo. -- The Bellevue University men's basketball team posted a 37-point win over Ecclesia College Saturday afternoon in nonconference action at the College of the Ozarks McDonald's Cam Jam Classic at Keeter Gymnasium.

Bellevue, ranked No. 14 in the NAIA, moved to 12-3 while Ecclesia suffered its eighth-straight loss and fell to 3-12.

Taylor Young paced the BU offense with 14 points, six rebounds and two assists.

Isaiah Strong posted 12 points while Bailey Sanders chipped in a career-high 11 points and three assists.

Michael Dotson and Alex Worthen-Harris both notched 10 points. Worthen-Harris tallied seven rebounds while Dotston recorded six boards.

Darren Redstar led the Bruins on the glass with eight rebounds and also added six points.

The Bruins scored the first nine points and scored 13 of the first 16 points as they took a 34-18 lead at halftime.

BU held the Royals to just 20.7 percent from the field and posted a 26-17 advantage in rebounds in the first half.

The Bruins outscored EC 53-32 and led by double-digits the entire second half en route to the 37-point win.

BU shot 47.8 percent and limited the Royals to only 32.7 percent from the field and also held a 45-25 advantage in rebounds.

Kristofer Riggs paced EC with 15 points.

The Bruins will play host to Dakota State University (7-8) on Wednesday, Jan. 8. Tip-off is slated for 7:00 p.m. at the Gordon Lozier Athletic Center. BU defeated the Trojans, 85-73, on Nov. 9 in Mitchell, S.D.
