BELLEVUE, Neb. -- The 19th-ranked Bellevue University men's basketball team made a school record 19 3-pointers en route to a 106-72 nonconference win over William Woods University Friday night in the Hampton Inn Thanksgiving Classic at the Gordon Lozier Athletic Center.

With the win, Bellevue moved to 5-2 while William Woods fell to 1-4.

The Bruins were led offensively by Isaiah Strong's 17 points and four assists while Michael Dotson added 16 points. 

Lee Ames finished 14 points, three assists, three rebounds, two steals and made four 3-pointers.

Russell Droll recorded 10 points and four rebounds and Key Leach registered 12 points and two rebounds off the bench.

The Bruins scored the first 11 points and led by as many as 33 in the opening stanza as they took a 58-28 lead at halftime. BU shot 58.1 percent from the field and made 11 3-pointers in the first half.

BU shot 53.3 percent in the second half, including eight 3-pointers, as they cruised to the 34-point win, 106-72. 

The Bruins, who scored a season-high 106 points, finished with 25 assists on 34 made field goals. BU also shot 90.5 percent (19-of-21) from the free throw line.

WWU was led by Jonathon Nutt's game-high 19 points.

The Bruins will conclude tournament action tomorrow with a 5:00 p.m. contest against Briar Cliff University (8-2).
