BELLEVUE, Neb. -- The Bellevue University eSports team defeated the College of St. Scholastica 2-0 on Friday evening in the second round of the 2018 RIOT College League of Legends Tournament.

After taking a victory by forfeit in their first match of the 2018 RIOT College League of Legends Tournament the Bruins earned a decisive victory over the Saints.

With the win Bellevue improves to 6-2-1 in competitive matches during the 2017/18 season and 2-0 in the RIOT LoL Tournament.

Bellevue took each of the two games with impressive stats including a 32-8 kill advantage (11-3 in game one, 21-5 in game two).

Competing for BU on Friday were Xu Xie "Sam" (abcabcabc), Huihao Zhong "Vincent" (v1SenTe), Dylan Guidichessi (Asuh My Dudes), Gabriel Eckenroth (Lilman), and Chengyun Xue "Ray" (Raay).

The Bruins changed up their lineup from previous matches and it paid off with as all five players had a positive kill-to-death ratio in the first game. As a team BU held an 875-604 edge in Minions Slain and out-gained CSS in Gold 50,226-31,561.

Game two followed a similar script with four of five Bruins holding a positive kill-to-death ratio and once again Bellevue owned major advantages in both Minions Slain (849-711) and Gold (52,192-36,178).

The Bruins will next compete in the 2018 RIOT College League of Legends Tournament next weekend against another 2-0 team. Opponents and match times will be available early next week.
